About Dr. SotoDr. Soto is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Massachusetts. He specializes in neurodevelopmental, neuropsychological, and educational assessment of toddlers, children, adolescents, and young adults with learning, emotional, social, and behavioral challenges. His areas of expertise within assessment include autism spectrum disorder and other developmental concerns, learning disabilities, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and executive functioning challenges, and anxiety and mood disorders. Dr. Soto has extensive training and experience in providing various evidence-based treatments (i.e., Applied Behavior Analysis, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Group Therapy) for individuals with autism spectrum disorder across a wide age span (i.e, 2 years to 26 years of age). In addition to conducting comprehensive assessments for individuals with autism spectrum disorder, he also provides individually-tailored therapy for adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorder while utilizing evidence-based interventions. Dr. Soto completed his graduate work at Columbia University (M.A) and University of Massachusetts, Boston (Ph.D). He completed his pre-doctoral internship training through the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School Child Track and his post-doctoral training at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School Lurie Center for Autism/Aspire fellowship. He was previously a staff psychologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and instructor of psychology at Harvard Medical School. In addition to being the director of this practice, Dr. Soto is an assistant professor of clinical psychology at William James College where he teaches courses in assessment, child and adolescent psychopathology, and research. Dr. Soto’s work has been published in prominent scientific journals such as the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disabilities, Infant Mental Health Journal, Journal of Attention Disorders, and Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry. |
