Evaluation Process
All evaluations begin with a clinical interview (with parents or caregivers), which guides the nature and focus of the testing procedures. The interview can occur in person on the day of the evaluation or over the phone prior to the evaluation appointment. The next phase of the evaluation is the standardized testing process, which is completed one-on-one with Dr. Soto and typically takes place on a single day. Breaks are provided as needed throughout the day to optimize attention, energy, and validity of testing. Once all standardized testing has been completed and scored, the results are integrated into a comprehensive report that provides a summary of performance and functioning, diagnostic clarification, and evidence-based recommendations for treatment and support. This report is provided to and discussed with the family at the follow-up feedback appointment.
